This was so odd to me, but I have never stayed at a state park other than Texas so I'm not sure how normal this is? I never felt scared or threatened with the traffic, everyone kept to themselves so this wasn't an issue, since we had our own bathroom in our cabin and didn't use the public one. Many times we saw random people driving up and using the bathrooms near our cabins, when they clearly weren't staying at the park. From what I could tell, just anyone can drive into this state park and there is no way of monitoring it. Also, you still have to pay for a fishing license even if you are fishing in the state park (so it's nice there is no fee to get into the park). and we didn't see any park rangers or have anyone check on us for the 3 days we were there. For one, you don't pay a fee going into the park.
I was a little concerned booking here due to the lack of reviews, but I am so glad I did! Oklahoma state parks are very different from Texas.
